Wayne County man sentenced to nearly 19 years in federal prison on drug charges

A Monticello man was sentenced to nearly 19 years in federal prison for selling more than 50 grams of methamphetamine.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, John Young was sentenced to 18 years and 10 months in federal prison along with 2 years and 10 months of supervised Federal Parole release.

Young is charged with distributing 50 or more grams of a methamphetamine mixture, along with parole violations.

He will serve his sentence at the Federal Correctional Facility in Manchester.
