The Jamestown Police Department has a new officer.
Jared Pierce has joined Jamestown Police as the city’s newest officer.
Pierce has previously served with the Russell County Sheriff’s Department and graduated from the academy last year.
He was sworn in by Mayor Regena Hinton during a ceremony at city hall Tuesday morning.
