More than 3,000 workers commute out of Russell County, according to new data from the Kentucky Center for Statistics.
According to the report that utilizes census data, 3,141 workers commute out of Russell County.
Most of those commute to Pulaski County with just over 500 workers traveling to Pulaski County.
According to the data, 326 workers commute to Casey County and 238 to Adair County.
From there, workers travel noticeably longer distances, with 223 traveling to Jefferson County and 159 to Fayette County.
The data shows 143 workers travel to Taylor County and 102 to Cumberland County, along with 88 to Laurel County and 87 to Hardin County.
