Yesterday, the Lady Laker Golf team competed in the 2A state qualifier in Campbellsville.
The team shot a score of 377, which was the top score in the Section 4 qualifying group and clinched a spot in the Kentucky 2A championships.
Breanna Trautman was the overall individual winner with a score of 77, shooting 5 over par with two birdies on the day.
Madalyn Wright shot a 94, and Carleen Meyers and Catherine Wright each shot a 103.
Carly Shearer finished with a 110 on the day.
The 2A state championships will be played in Owensboro on Sept. 11.
The Lady Lakers also defeated Cumberland County in a match on Monday.
The Lady Lakers shot a 182 on the day compared to Cumberland County’s 188.
Breanna Trautman led Russell County with a 40 and Madalyn Wright finished with a 45.
Carly Shearer shot a 48 and Carleen Meyers shot a 49.
Catherine Wright, Addison Hopper, and Karly Stapp each shot a 59.
