Jamestown Elementary School teacher Donnie Wilkerson is one of 22 Kentucky educators selected as recipients of the 2024 Kentucky Teacher Achievement Awards.
Wilkerson is one of seven elementary school teachers selected. He is a 5th-grade history/social studies teacher at Jamestown Elementary School, and was a semifinalist for the Teacher of the Year Award in 2021.
Aretha Whaley from Casey County High School was also selected for the award.
These teachers qualify to compete for the 2024 Kentucky Teacher of the Year Award, which will be announced in September.
