A former Russell County native placed in the top 10 at the Miss Kentucky Teen pageant.
Ariana Rodriguez, granddaughter of the late Johnny Lee Cooper and Donna Carter, won the title of Miss Teen Fleur De Lis in February and placed top 10 at the Miss Kentucky Teen Pageant last weekend.
Rodriguez was first runner-up in the Quality of Life Scholarship Competition.
She plans to attend the University of Kentucky in the fall.
