Second juvenile arrested in McCreary County murder

A second juvenile has been charged in the death of a McCreary County man over the weekend.

According to Kentucky State Police, a second juvenile was arrested and charged Wednesday morning in connection with the alleged murder of 36-year-old Robert Lowe Jr. on Sunday.

State police say the investigation began just before 7 p.m. ET Sunday on Wagon Ridge Road in McCreary County when dispatch received reports of a shooting that had taken place.

An investigation revealed that a verbal dispute had taken place between 36-year-old Robert Lowe Jr. and 42-year-old Gabriel N. Campbell, both of Stearns.

At some point, Lowe was shot while he was in the driver’s seat of his vehicle. He was pronounced deceased by the McCreary County Coroner’s Office.

Both male juveniles charged with murder have been taken to the Adair Youth Detention Center.

The investigation is ongoing by Kentucky State Police.
