Local 4-H youth compete in shooting sports competition

The Russell Co. 4-H Shooting Sports Club recently hosted the Ralph Pettyjohn Memorial 4-H Competition at the Russell County Sportsmen’s Club.

The Russell County team had a strong performance. Here are some of the top finishers in the team competition.

1st place 9-11 black powder flintlock rifle – Vance Foley, Dalton Foley, Carter Brown

1st place 9-11 black powder percussion rifle – Dalton Foley, Carter Brown, Charley Cundiff, William Hatter

1st place 9-11 .22 target rifle – Greyson Riddle, Charley Cundiff, Chase Robertson, Alaina McDonald, Ajay Banks

2nd place 9-11 BB – Aiden Mondie, Wyatt Bunch, Jadan Durham, Blake Kerns

3rd place 9-11 .22 sport rifle – Jadan Durham, Jace Anderson, Carter Brown, Greyson Riddle

2nd place 12-14 .22 pistol – Aiden McDonald, William Kemp, Daniel Hernandez, Ryan Stanton

2nd place 12-14 .22 sport rifle – Daniel Hernandez, Brayden Popplewell, Aidan McFarland, Benton Kimbler

1st place 15-18 bowhunter – Vinson Kerns, Zach Walters, Audrie Roy, Logan Russell

1st place 15-18 target archery – Vinson Kerns, Zach Walters, Audrie Roy, Logan Russell
