A male juvenile has been charged and lodged in the Adair Youth Detention Center following a reported murder in nearby McCreary County.
According to Kentucky State Police, the investigation began just before 7 p.m. ET on Wagon Ridge Road in McCreary County when dispatch received reports of a shooting that had taken place.
An investigation revealed that a verbal dispute had taken place between 36-year-old Robert Lowe Jr. and 42-year-old Gabriel N. Campbell, both of Stearns.
At some point, a male juvenile shot Lowe while he was in the driver’s seat of his vehicle. Lowe was pronounced deceased by the McCreary County Coroner’s Office.
The male juvenile, whose name and age was not released, was charged with murder and taken to the Adair Youth Detention Center.
The investigation is ongoing by Kentucky State Police.
