A heat advisory remains in effect today as temperatures will be in the mid-to-high 90s with heat index values are expected to be over 100.
Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses to occur, so people are advised to stay in air-conditioned areas as much as possible and those working outside are recommended to take breaks often in shaded areas if possible and stay hydrated.
