The first day of school in Russell County is rapidly approaching.
Students will return from summer break in just three weeks with the first day of school scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 16.
Open houses for Russell County Schools are also coming up.
Russell Springs, Jamestown, and Salem Elementary schools will have their open houses on Thursday, Aug. 10 from 5-7 p.m.
The middle school and high school open houses are scheduled for Monday, Aug. 14.
Middle school open house will be from 4-6 p.m. and high school open house will be from 5-7 p.m.
