The Russell Springs Volunteer Fire Department raised more than $9,800 for the WHAS Crusade for Kids last weekend.
That number does not include those who submitted donations electronically, according to officials.
This is the 53rd year the fire department has been involved in collecting donations for the crusade, which raises funds for agencies, schools, and hospitals, all with the shared goal of improving the lives of children with special needs.
