Russell County in moderate drought

Russell County is in a moderate drought according to the U.S. Drought Monitor.

A large swath of central and northern Kentucky is also in the moderate drought category, while the rest of the state is mostly included in the abnormally dry category by the monitor.

Most of neighboring Adair, Casey, and Wayne counties are also included in the moderate drought category.
