According to the Adair County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred just after 7 p.m. Saturday.

The report states 48-year-old Tammy Sanders of Tennessee was taken to TJ Health Columbia and later airlifted to the University of Kentucky Hospital after her 2019 Dodge Charger collided with the guardrail about 7 miles from the Russell Springs exit on the parkway, then crossed the median and westbound lanes until eventually colliding with a rock wall.
