The Russell County Laker Baseball and Lady Laker Softball teams are preparing for district tournaments this week.
The Lady Lakers picked up a win in their last regular season game on Friday, defeating Adair County 11-1.
Nevaeh Duncan led the Lady Lakers in hits with 2, while Jaylee Roy and Avery Hart each drove in a pair of runs for Russell County.
The three-seed Lady Lakers now look ahead to a matchup tomorrow with the two-seed Clinton County Lady Bulldogs.
First pitch in Albany is scheduled for 7:15 tomorrow night.
The Lakers fell in their final regular season game, dropping a matchup to 12th region leader Boyle County Friday night by a score of 12-4.
