Online absentee portal for May primary closes tonight

The online portal for registered Kentucky voters to request a mail-in absentee ballot closes tonight.

By state law, the online portal must close 14 days before Election Day.

The portal will close at 10:59 p.m. CT tonight.

Absentee ballots are available for voters who have a valid reason for not being able to vote in-person. This includes members of the military, students who temporarily reside outside the county, or those who can’t get to the polls due to age, illness, or other conditions.

The portal can be accessed online through the State Board of Elections here.
