The Friends of Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery revealed a new mascot for the hatchery on social media Thursday.
The trout mascot costume is expected to arrive in the coming days and the “Friends” group is asking for the public’s assistance in giving the mascot a name.
Suggestions can be made in the naming of the mascot by visiting the Friends of Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery Facebook page by clicking here.
The group thanked Angie McGowan with the Russell County Public Library for helping throughout the mascot selection process.
It is expected that the soon-to-be-named trout mascot will become a visible presence at the hatchery and at community events in the near future.
