A drowning occurred in neighboring Clinton County Monday evening at Wisdom Dock on Dale Hollow Lake, resulting in the death of a Boone County man.
According to WANY in Albany, Clinton County Coroner Lonnie Scott and Kentucky Fish and Wildlife are investigating the reported downing that occurred at around 7:26 p.m. Monday.
According to the report, Ronald Cain of Boone County attempted to step from his boat onto the dock when he slipped and fell.
Cain’s wife and others were able to rescue him from the water and began performing CPR, but Cain was pronounced dead by the Clinton County Coroner’s Office just after 10:30 p.m.
An autopsy will be performed by the state medical examiner’s office.
