Strong winds over the weekend caused another round of power outages across the area.
At one point on Saturday, South Kentucky RECC was reporting more than 9,000 customers without power within its service area with a little more than 1,000 of those customers in Russell County.
Neighboring Pulaski County and Wayne County were also hit hard by power outages with more than 5,000 in Pulaski County being affected and around 1,300 in Wayne County.
By last night, nearly all the South Kentucky RECC power outages had been restored.
