The Russell County High School Track and Field team competed at Southwestern High School yesterday.
Some of the highlights from the event included:
The team of Olivia Hinkle, Jozelynne Weisbrodt, Natalie Bartrug, and Tyra Popplewell winning the girls 4×200 relay. That team also finished 4th in the 4×100 relay.
The team of Jonah Skaggs, Byron Kirkland-Lundy, Kinnett Wills, and Clayton Trosper winning the boys 4×200 relay
Clayton Trosper winning the 110M hurdle and finishing 2nd in the 300M hurdle
Olivia Hinkle placing 5th in the long jump
Maleah Preston finished 6th in the 100M hurdle and 300M hurdle
The team of Jonah Skaggs, Aydan Hardwick, Parker Riggins, and Byron Kirkland-Lundy finished 6th in the 4×100 relay.
Jozelynne Weisbrodt finished 8th in the 100M dash and 4th in the 200M dash
Byron Kirkland-Lundy finished 7th in the 200M dash
Kinnett Wills finished 9th in the 200M dash
Overall, the girls finished 7th in the event, while the boys finished 10th.
