The Russell County Laker Baseball team picked up two wins over the weekend.
The Lakers defeated Southwestern Friday night by a score of 9-4.
Mayes Gosser and Aidan Antle each drove in a pair of runs, with Antle hitting a home-run in the win.
Austin Bartrug earned the win on the mound, pitching 4 innings and giving up just 1 run on 3 hits and striking out 5.
The Lakers followed that up with a 7-2 win on Saturday over the Barren County Trojans.
Antle homered again in that win, his fourth of the season.
Antle drove in three runs while Adam Walters drove in two to lead the Lakers.
Owen Loy got the win on the mound, pitching the complete game and giving up just 2 runs on 5 hits and striking out 2.
The Lakers now sit at 9-5 and will be back at home tomorrow to host the Metcalfe County Hornets in district play.
