Russell remains ‘green’; Clinton, Cumberland now ‘red’ with COVID

The Kentucky Department of Public Health has released the latest COVID-19 map and Russell County remains in the green category, or low level of community spread. However, neighboring Clinton and Cumberland counties have reached the red category this week, indicating a high level of COVID transmission.

Neighboring Casey County continues to be in the yellow category this week, indicating a medium level of COVID spread.

The rest of the 10-county Lake Cumberland District are in the green category this week.

Including Clinton and Cumberland counties, a total of 11 counties in the state are seeing a high level of spread, as are nearby Metcalfe and Barren counties.

A total of 41 counties in the state have the yellow, or medium, status.
