RCHS to begin search for new volleyball coach

Russell County High School is in the midst of a search for its new volleyball coach.

The school has a job posting for head volleyball coach, and the personnel report for tonight’s board of education meeting includes a note that coach Faith Womack has resigned as girls volleyball coach and volleyball coordinator.

According to the job posting, applications are being taken through Friday, March 10.

Womack coached the Lady Laker Volleyball team for four seasons, winning a 16th District championship this past season and making an appearance in the 4th Region tournament each season, including an appearance in the region semifinals in 2020.

Womack currently serves as the assistant principal at Salem Elementary.
