As the 16th District Basketball tournament wrapped up on Friday, two Laker basketball players and four Laker cheerleaders were named to their respective All-District teams.
Laker Basketball sophomores Owen Loy and Mayes Gosser were named to the All-District Basketball team.
Senior cheerleaders Tony Noyola, Bryanna Smith, Olivia Hinkle, and Mackenzie Hinkle were named to the All-District Cheer team.
In Friday night’s basketball action, the Metcalfe County Hornets coached by Russell County alumnus Brandon Brockman won the 16th District championship, defeating Monroe County 71-66.
