LCADD to receive more than $237,000 from federal grant program

The U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded more than $237,000 to the Lake Cumberland Area Development District in an effort to help develop regional transportation projects this year.

The funding comes courtesy of the Department of Transportation’s Safe Streets and Roads for All Action Plan, part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law passed by Congress in 2022.

The ADD’s total is part of more than $3 million allocated by the program statewide.

The federal grant program hopes to improve Kentucky’s roads, bridges, railroads, riverports, airports, broadband, and more by providing critical funding while also creating jobs and providing a boost to the economy.
