LC Tourist Commission to accept ARPA check in presentation later this month

The Lake Cumberland Tourist Commission will be accepting a check later this month for the more than $104,000 received in American Rescue Plan Act funding when Lt. Governor Jacqueline Coleman visits neighboring Pulaski County, according to Tourism Director Danielle Wilson.

The ARPA check presentation will take place on Tuesday, February 14th at noon central time at the Pulaski County Courthouse. Both Russell County and Pulaski County tourism will receive their checks that day.

Wilson applied the tourist commission for the grant late last summer. There is a strict criteria as to what the funding can be used on and that is expected to be discussed later this month during the tourist commission’s regular monthly meeting.

That meeting will take place Wednesday, February 15th at 12:30 p.m. at the tourism office in Russell Springs.
