Seniors may soon have opportunity to purchase ‘lifetime’ hunting, fishing licenses

Senior citizens in the state may soon have the option to purchase a lifetime sportsman’s license. The license would include hunting and fishing licenses plus permits for trout, deer, spring and fall turkey, migratory game birds and waterfowl.

The Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Commission is meeting today in Frankfort to discuss amending a current administrative regulation regarding the license, as well as the possibility of setting a price for the license.

The commission is a nine-member board, comprised of volunteers who serve four-year terms. The commission recommends hunting, fishing and boating regulations to conserve fish and wildlife and support related outdoor recreation opportunities in the state.
