Monroe County swept Russell County in a district doubleheader at Laker Gym Tuesday night.
The Lady Falcons defeated the Lady Lakers 49-44, as Russell County falls to 3-10 and 0-3 in district play.
The Lakers fell to the Falcons by a score of 79-66, as the Lakers fall to 6-7 on the season and 1-2 in district play.
The Lakers and Lady Lakers will be back in action in 2A tournaments this week at Marion County.
The boys will play on Thursday against Marion County at 7 p.m. CT.
The girls will play on Friday against Marion County, also at 7 p.m. CT.
