This past weekend the Russell County High and Middle school Laker Dance teams competed at the Battle of Bows competition in Jeffersonville, Indiana where they brought home many “on point performer” awards, and each team placed 1st and 2nd in their respective divisions.
The high school dance team consists of nine team members and competed in the Pom and Jazz divisions while the middle school dance team consists of 11 team members and competed in the Team and Jazz divisions.
Both teams competed against several top-notch dance teams.
The middle school’s “Team” category dance received the “Best Choreography” award of the day.
The Laker Dance team is coached by Alissa Thomas.
