Adair inmate charged after reportedly attempting to solicit murder through mail

An inmate at the Adair County Regional Jail is charged with attempting to solicit murder through a letter he tried to send from the jail.

According to Kentucky State Police, Post 15 was contacted by staff at the Adair County Regional Jail earlier this week in regards to a suspicious letter that an inmate being lodged at the detention center had attempted to send out in the mail.

An investigation began after state police received the letter, and troopers said 37-year-old Paul Bricker reportedly attempted to send a letter, while incarcerated, in which he attempted to solicit the murder of another person.

Bricker faces a charge of solicitation of murder and remains lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.

Kentucky State Police Post 15 is continuing to investigate the situation.
