Tourist commission continues to bring in impressive transient tax totals

The Lake Cumberland Tourist Commission collected $11,452.22 in transient tax in October of this year, one of the four largest amounts for the month since the commission began record-keeping in 1994. That continues a trend seen in recent months for the commission.

WJRS NEWS spoke with Tourism Director Danielle Wilson following Wednesday’s meeting of the commission’s board of directors…

Wilson also said the commission is hosting its second annual Grinch holiday event tonight from 4 to 7 p.m. at the tourism office, located between KFC and Arby’s in Russell Springs. The first 100 children will receive free coloring pages and be able to participate in an ornament making craft.
