Henry Smith, operator of Smithland Angus Farm in Russell Springs, was recently elected to his first term on the board of directors of the American Angus Association at their annual convention in Salt Lake City.
Smith is a fourth generation farmer and Angus breeder.
He can serve up to up to two 3-year terms on the board and an additional one year-term in leadership, if elected.
Smith currently owns and manages 210 registered Angus cows and a small commercial heard in Russell County.
