Neighboring Adair County saw a burn ban reinstated by Adair Judge-Executive Gale Cowan on Tuesday.
Cowan said that discussions with emergency management and local fire department officials prompted the reinstatement of the burn ban. This means open burning is not allowed at this time due to the extremely dry conditions.
There has been no reinstatement of Russell County’s burn ban as of this time.
