LIHEAP pre-registration underway for those who qualify

Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program Subsidy pre-registration is now underway for those who receive a fixed income and are over 60 years of age or are disabled, according to the Lake Cumberland Community Action Agency.

Registration for the program begins on October 17th when appointments will begin being scheduled. To be eligible, households must be responsible for their utility bill, provide a copy of the bill, provide proof of residence and proof of income for all household members as well as a photo ID for any member of the household 18 or over and proof of social security numbers for any household member age two or over.

Total household income must be at or below 130 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
