The Russell County Lady Laker Volleyball team fell to Wayne County last night.
Varsity fell 2-0, losing the first set 25-20 before losing the second set 25-17.
Briley Murray led the Lady Lakers with 11 kills, followed by Kenzie Kelsey and Aysha Sutton with 5 each and Rachel Webb with 4.
Avery Hart led the team in assists with 24 while Lauren and Jenna White finished with 12 and 9 digs, respectively.
Hart and Jenna White each had a pair of service aces.
The JV squad picked up a 2-0 win while the freshman team also picked up a win by a score of 2-1.
The Lady Lakers are now 26-6 on the season and will be back on the court next Monday at Somerset High School.
