The Kentucky Department for Public Health reported 39 new Covid cases in Russell County this week, down from 71 a week ago.
Neighboring Wayne County recorded the highest number of Covid cases in the Lake Cumberland district at 162.
Pulaski County reported 119 cases, Casey had 51, Adair had 33 cases, Cumberland had 18, and Clinton County had seven.
The state also reported 11 individuals hospitalized in the Lake Cumberland area with Covid-19. Three of those were listed as in intensive care units.
The statewide positivity rate was listed at 18.40 percent, while Russell County’s rate is now five percent.
