Golfing Kentucky for a Cure, a group of men from Western Kentucky that raise money and awareness for cancer research through the game of golf, will be making a stop in Russell County today at Lakewood Country Club.
WJRS News spoke with the group’s founder, Mike Wright, who said the group of four men have set a goal to travel the state and play at every golf course in the commonwealth. He told WJRS News more about how the group raises funds for cancer research.
Wright said each of the four men have a personal connection, either battling cancer themselves or losing a loved one, and that’s what drives them.
