School district students eligible for Spring P-EBT issuance

Russell County School District students will receive the Spring P-EBT issuance on June 8th, according to the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services.

Spring 2022 P-EBT provides $7.10 to all eligible children in the household for each day that they had to miss school due to a COVID-19 related reason.

Spring P-EBT is for students
– who are enrolled in K-12 public and private schools between September 2021 and May 2022;
– who receive free or reduced-price meals through the National School Lunch Program; and
– who missed in-person learning at school due to COVID-19 related reasons or had to be on a virtual-only learning schedule due to a COVID-19 related reason for 5 or more consecutive days.

If an eligible student has an active SNAP (food benefits) case, their P-EBT funds are issued on the EBT card linked to the child’s case. If the eligible student is not part of an active SNAP case and has received P-EBT in the past, the reimbursement is issued on that card. If the student never received P-EBT, a card will be issued to the student with the benefits pre-loaded.
