The Russell County Middle School Baseball team finished as the state runner-up at the tournament held at Lindsey Wilson College over the weekend.
The Lakers knocked off Corbin 3-2 in the semifinals, but fell to Northern Pulaski 13-2, finishing as state runner-up.
The RCMS Lakers finish the season with a record of 25-4.
