The Russell County Lady Laker Softball team will begin play in the 16th District Tournament this evening.
The Lady Lakers will take on Metcalfe County at 5:30 p.m. at the Kay Morris Softball Complex.
The Lady Lakers won both matchups over the Lady Hornets this season.
The winner will clinch a spot in Saturday’s District Championship and a berth in the upcoming 4th Region Tournament.
