Evaline Godbey, of Casey County, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Liberty Care Center, in Liberty. She was 100 years of age.
Evaline was born on Casey Creek, of Adair County, on April 20, 1921, daughter of the late Joe and Laura Bottoms Hardwick. She was of the Baptist faith and was known to all the healthcare providers at Liberty Care Center as “Granny”.
She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Evaline is preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Godbey, who passed away on November 14, 2004; her brothers, Omer Hardwick and Elijah Hardwick; and her sisters, Bessie Brown, Ruby Lawhorn, Dosha Hardwick and Edith Hardwick.
Interment will be in Bethelridge Cemetery, in Bethelridge.
The family will host a private service at a later date.
