Russell County is in the green on the COVID transmission map released by the Kentucky Department for Public Health yesterday.
Green is the best color possible on the map, which takes into account the number of new COVID cases and the number of people hospitalized with the virus.
According to the state, 71 new cases were reported in Russell County last week.
