The Russell County Public Library was full of activity Tuesday evening for Read Across Russell County, an event promoting reading in the community, particularly among children.
The Russell County Education Association and the Russell County Public Library teamed up to organize the event, the first time it has been done in person since 2020.
The event had a great turnout with more than 400 people in attendance through the evening.
RCEA’s Dr. Brooke Bartrug thanked everyone involved for a successful event.
Russell County Public Library Director Lindsey Westerfield said the library was glad to partner with RCEA for such an impactful community event and Read Across Russell County is just one way the library reaches the community.
