The Russell County Middle School Lady Laker Softball team moved to 3-0 on the season with an 8-6 win at Cumberland County Wednesday night.
Trailing 5-1 in the 4th inning, the Lady Lakers rallied, scoring six runs in the inning to take the lead.
At the plate, Rylen McGowan led the way with 2 hits and 1 RBI. Brylie Jo Hardwick, Chezney Burton, and Kaelyn Campbell also each drove in a run for the Lady Lakers.
Hardwick pitched six innings, giving up 6 runs but only 2 earned, 8 hits, and struck out six batters.
The Lady Lakers finished with 11 hits as a team with 10 different players getting a hit.
The Lady Lakers are back at home on Friday to host Casey County.
