Lois Campbell Terry, age 92, of Nancy

Lois Campbell Terry, of Nancy, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, in Somerset.  She was 92 years of age.

Lois was born on March 18, 1929, in Cains Store, daughter of the late Herschel and Stella Irvine Campbell.  She worked many years as a seamstress for the Goodall-Palm Beach Company, of Somerset.  Lois was a member of Jenny’s Chapel Church.  She raised three of her own children, then had a hand in raising many other children through the years.  Each child was treated as her own.  She was a strong willed and very supportive person.

She loved music, sewing and cooking.  Not only was she an animal lover, Lois was an animal rescuer and advocate.  No one was allowed to even squash a bug in the house.  You were to take it outside and free it, instead.

Lois was an over-35-year cancer survivor; after being diagnosed with the disease in 1985, Lois completely changed her diet and lifestyle to be more health conscious.

She is survived by her son, Gary M. (and Brenda) Luttrell, of Nancy; her daughters, Linda Luttrell, of Somerset, and Teresa York, of Nancy; her sister, June Brewster, of Russell Springs; her sister-in-law, Carolyn Campbell; her grandchildren, Christopher Luttrell, Emily Kruizenga, Gloria Sawyers, Alisha Thomas, and Kimberly (and Barry) Strunk; her great-grandchildren, Audrey Kruizenga, Tyler Goodin, Dylan Goodin, Joshua Goodin, Hannah Thomas, and Leland (and Katie) York; special nieces, Marisa Popplewell, Lisa Mitchell; a special nephew, Steve Campbell; her cousin, Lisa Prows; and other nieces, nephews and family members.

Along with her parents, Lois is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Terry; her brothers, Glen Campbell and Emil Campbell; and her sister-in-law, Joyce Campbell.

Funeral services are 2:00 p.m., CST, Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Bernard Funeral Home.  Interment will be in Bradley’s Pleasure Cemetery.

Visitation will be held after 12:00 p.m., CST, on Thursday, until time for funeral services.

Lois’ arrangements are entrusted to Bernard Funeral Home.  An online guestbook is available at www.bernardfuneralhome.com
