An incident in neighboring Adair County late last week landed a Russell County man behind bars, according to the Adair County Sheriff’s Office.
Last Thursday afternoon, an Adair County deputy received a call from dispatch about a reckless driver on East KY 80.
After the deputy caught up to the vehicle, a gold Ford Ranger, a traffic stop was attempted, according to police, but the vehicle failed to stop and picked up speed. Finally, with the help of additional law enforcement the vehicle was stopped and the pursuit brought to an end near the Columbia city limits
Cody Foley, age 36, of Russell Springs, was taken into custody and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, operating on a DUI Suspended License 2nd offense, fleeing and evading police 1st degree, and reckless driving
The Adair County Sheriff’s Office investigated the incident.
