After reaching averages of more than $4 per gallon, local gas prices seem to be trending back down.
According to AAA, the average price of gas in Russell County was $3.99/gallon on Wednesday.
Wednesday evening, some local gas stations had prices as low as $3.93/gallon.
Local prices remain on par with neighboring counties. The average price in Clinton and Cumberland Counties remains noticeably higher though, at $4.07 and $4.03, respectively.
The average price in Kentucky remains over the $4 mark at $4.01.
