The Russell County Tennis teams traveled to Danville to take on Boyle County at Centre College on Tuesday.
The Laker boys lost 6-3, while the girls lost 5-0.
Lucas McFall won his singles match, while Jay Bailey, Jaxon Popplewell, Carson Buras, Paxton Trautman, and Joe Bolen all lost.
The boys fared well in doubles action, with Lucas McFall and Jaxon Popplewell getting a win, along with Carson Buras and Paxton Trautman.
Ellie Terry and Jasmin Grant each fell short in singles action on the girls side.
The teams of Abby Helm and Grace Jennette, Jasmin Grant and Breanna Trautman, and Jaylen Hill and Khloe Stephens each fell short.
The tennis teams are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Bowling Green to take on Warren East and South Warren.
