KSP arrests Russell Springs man on numerous charges

A Russell Springs man was arrested by Kentucky State Police on a variety of charges late Wednesday afternoon, according to jail records.

David B. Johnson, age 34, was taken into custody by Trooper Billy Begley and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, speeding 15 miles per hour over the limit, operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license, theft of identity of another without consent, wanton endangerment second degree (police officer), failure to notify of an address change, failure to produce an insurance card, and non-payment of court costs, fines or fees.

Johnson was also charged with failure to appear and contempt of court from a scheduled August 2021 court date as well as an October 2020 charge of operating with a revoked, inactive or canceled motor fuel tax license.

Johnson was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center just before 5 p.m. Wednesday.
