‘Kevin’s Kids’ concert returns in mid-May

Russell County native Kevin Williams returns home for his “Kevin’s Kids” concert on May 14th after a two-year absence due to the pandemic.

After over 30 years of personal appearances in all 50 states and five continents, Williams says his favorite concert is the one he does in Russell Springs.

Williams credits growing up in Russell County as one of the key factors that has influenced him. In 2014, he began an effort that is now known as “Kevin’s Kids” to benefit economically challenged youth in Russell County through the school district’s family resource and youth service centers.

More details about the concert will be announced soon. Williams has always had special guests and notables in the music industry who participate in the fundraiser.

The concert will be Saturday, May 14th at 6 p.m. at the Russell Springs First Baptist church. It is a community event and is free.

Williams is an internationally-known musician, entertainer, humorist, and music producer whose work has appeared on Grammy award-winning projects. His guitar playing can be heard on over 1000 albums, and he is the longest running band leader on a Christian music TV series in history.
